Howard Widra is a co-founder of MidCap Financial and its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to MidCap, Mr. Widra was the founder and President of Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Mr. Widra and the senior team at MidCap grew Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance into an industry leader in all of the product areas on which MidCap focuses today. Prior to Merrill Lynch, Mr. Widra was President of GE Capital Healthcare Commercial Finance and held senior roles in its predecessor entities including President of Heller Healthcare Finance, and COO of Healthcare Financial Partners. Mr. Widra holds a J.D., Cum Laude, from the Harvard Law School and a B.A. in Economics from the University of Michigan.
Steve Curwin is a co-founder of MidCap Financial and its Chief Credit and Risk Officer. Prior to MidCap, Mr. Curwin served as the Chief Credit Officer for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Mr. Curwin has held various senior executive positions with GE Capital Healthcare Commercial Finance and its predecessor entities, Heller Healthcare Finance, and Healthcare Financial Partners. Prior to entering healthcare finance, Mr. Curwin practiced corporate and real estate law for 10 years, primarily with Dewey Ballantine. Mr. Curwin holds a J.D. from Boston University School of Law and a B.A. from Franklin and Marshall College, and was licensed as a CPA in New York prior to entering law school.
David Moore is a co-founder of MidCap Financial and its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to MidCap, Mr. Moore created and ran the asset based lending practice for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Moore was Senior Vice President at GE Capital Healthcare Commercial Finance, where he was responsible for managing national asset based lending activities. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Moore managed all portfolio activities for GE Healthcare Commercial Finance and its predecessors. Before entering the healthcare lending industry in 1999, Mr. Moore spent 11 years in commercial banking with Crestar Bank, Citibank, and First Bank of New Orleans, where he was President and CEO for three years. Mr. Moore holds an M.B.A. with Honors from Loyola University and a B.S. in Management from Tulane University. Mr. Moore currently serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for Loyola’s College of Business Administration.
Bob Goodridge is MidCap’s General Counsel. Prior to joining MidCap, Mr. Goodridge led the legal teams for Merrill Lynch Capital’s and GE Capital’s healthcare finance units. Mr. Goodridge has also worked as senior counsel for Heller Healthcare Finance where he led the UCC Revised Article 9 conversion efforts and was a partner specializing in finance, real estate and corporate law in various law firms. Mr. Goodridge was also senior counsel for The St. Paul Insurance Cos. life insurance business unit where he authored and worked with the Maryland legislature to adopt modernized investment laws for life insurance companies. Mr. Goodridge holds a J.D. with High Honors from George Washington University and was a member of the George Washington University Law Review. Mr. Goodridge also holds a B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia.
Michael Levin currently leads corporate development for MidCap and the syndication and distribution efforts for MidCap’s Real Estate Lending group. Prior to joining MidCap, Mr. Levin served as a lead underwriter for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Mr. Levin has also worked for Arthur Andersen’s Real Estate Capital Markets Group. Mr. Levin holds a B.S. in Economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
Randy Feldner is MidCap’s Controller and Assistant Treasurer. Prior to joining MidCap, Mr. Feldner held a senior accounting and reporting position at Sallie Mae, Inc. Mr. Feldner also worked for nine years in public accounting, working first for Arthur Andersen LLP, then Ernst & Young LLP, where he specialized in assurance services in both the financial services and real estate industries. Mr. Feldner holds an B.B.A. in Accounting from the University of Richmond and is a certified public accountant in the state of Virginia.
