Real Estate Lending
Kevin McMeen is a co-founder of MidCap Financial and President of Real Estate Lending. Prior to joining MidCap, Mr. McMeen created and ran the real estate lending practice for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch Capital, Mr. McMeen led the healthcare real estate segment of GE Healthcare Commercial Finance and its predecessor, Heller Healthcare Finance. Mr. McMeen serves as the Chair on the board of the National Investment Centers for the Seniors Housing and Care Industries, he served on the advisory board of the Erickson Executive Education program at University of Maryland Baltimore County, and is an active member of the American Seniors Housing Association. Mr. McMeen holds a M.S. in Urban and Regional Planning from Georgia Tech and a B.S. in Economics from the University of Wisconsin.
Richard Graham is currently head of underwriting for MidCap’s Real Estate Lending group. Prior to joining MidCap, Mr. Graham was Group Head and Chief Production Officer for Green Park Healthcare Finance, the dedicated healthcare group of Green Park Financial. Prior to that, Mr. Graham was a Vice President for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance and held various investment banking positions with Bear Stearns & Co., SG Cowen Securities, and Arthur Andersen Corporate Finance. Mr. Graham holds an M.B.A. with Honors from the University of Chicago, Graduate School of Business and a B.A. in Economics and Environmental Sciences with Distinction from the University of Virginia.
Eric Kammerer currently leads the origination effort for MidCap’s real estate lending product. Prior to MidCap, Mr. Kammerer was a member of the healthcare finance group at Merrill Lynch Capital where he was the top real estate loan originator in 3 consecutive years and a 2005 President’s Award winner. Prior to Merrill Lynch Capital, Mr. Kammerer was a member of the real estate and corporate syndicated capital markets groups at Banc of America Securities where he focused on the healthcare industry. Mr. Kammerer received a M.B.A with honors from the Edwin L. Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University and a B.A. in Political Science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
Jason McMeen is responsible for originating debt financing for MidCap’s real estate lending product. Prior to MidCap, Mr. McMeen was a loan originator with GE Capital – Healthcare Financial Services for seven years. While at GE Capital, Mr. McMeen originated over $1 billion in senior housing commitments. Prior to GE Capital, Mr. McMeen spent ten years in the commercial real estate finance business holding roles in underwriting, portfolio management and originations. Mr. McMeen holds a BA from the University of Iowa.
Lawrence Brin is an underwriter in MidCap’s Real Estate Lending group. Prior to joining MidCap, Mr. Brin was a member of the real estate underwriting team of Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Mr. Brin also worked as an underwriter in the structured finance group at CapitalSource Inc. Mr. Brin began his career practicing corporate law at the New York law firm of Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP. Mr. Brin holds a J.D. from Columbia Law School, where he was a Harlan Fiske Stone Scholar. Mr. Brin holds a B.A. with Honors in English from the University of Michigan.
David Sharp is responsible for originating debt financing for MidCap’s real estate lending product, focusing on the Midwest markets. Prior to MidCap, Mr. Sharp was a senior vice president with the Prime Group Inc., a Chicago based real estate development and investment company. Prior to the Prime Group, Mr. Sharp’s previous experience includes an executive role with a private real estate investment company as well as a Vice President, Senior loan originator with a publicly traded commercial real estate lender, where he originated over $1.0 billion in loan commitments covering all asset classes of commercial real estate. Mr. Sharp holds a BA, with an emphasis in Finance, from the University of Iowa.
