David Moore is a co-founder of MidCap Financial and its Chief Financial Officer and Chief Administrative Officer. Prior to MidCap, Mr. Moore created and ran the asset based lending practice for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, Mr. Moore was Senior Vice President at GE Capital Healthcare Commercial Finance, where he was responsible for managing national asset based lending activities. Prior to this assignment, Mr. Moore managed all portfolio activities for GE Healthcare Commercial Finance and its predecessors.
 
Before entering the healthcare lending industry in 1999, Mr. Moore spent 11 years in commercial banking with Crestar Bank, Citibank, and First Bank of New Orleans, where he was President and CEO for three years.
 
Mr. Moore holds an M.B.A. with Honors from Loyola University and a B.S. in Management from Tulane University. Mr. Moore currently serves as a member of the Board of Visitors for Loyola’s College of Business Administration.
