Clare Bailhé is a co-founder of MidCap Financial, and, as President of Financial Sponsors & Leveraged Finance, she oversees a group of 90+ covering Financial Sponsors and direct Non-Sponsored middle market companies, leads MidCap Financial Capital Markets.
Prior to starting MidCap Financial, Ms.Bailhé founded and ran the leveraged lending platform for Merrill Lynch Capital Healthcare Finance. Prior to Merrill Lynch, she was a Managing Director at Bank of America in the Healthcare Group, and a Managing Director and Head of Healthcare, Western Division, for Banque Paribas. Previous general industry banking experience includes 11 years at Barclays Bank and Nat West Bank PLC. Ms.Bailhé has over 35 years’ experience in corporate and investment banking. She holds a BA in economics from UCLA. Ms.Bailhé is a Co-Chair of the Leveraged Finance Fights Melanoma event for the Melanoma Research Alliance.
